MRS. JUDY de waal - PRINCIPAL

This is Mrs. de Waal’s first year at Agassiz Christian.  She comes to us after teaching many years at the elementary level at Abbotsford Christian School.  Mrs. de Waal will be sharing her time mainly between the principal’s office and teaching in the 2/3 classroom.   Outside of school, Mrs. de Waal enjoys spending time with her family (her husband and six children) and enjoys reading, gardening, and spending time at the family cabin.  Mrs. de Waal loves school and teaching, and can hardly wait to see what God is going to do this year!


MRS. KAREN BRUNESKI - ADMIN ASSISTANT

This is Mrs. Bruneski's eleventh year at ACS and she thoroughly enjoys her work - especially when she has opportunity to chat with the students who always make her smile.  She is married to Glen and has one son, Josh. Her favourite activities include spending time with her husband, watching their son play sports, reading and sitting around camp fires. Mrs. Bruneski is available between the hours of 8:00 - 3:00 Monday through Friday.


MR. SIMON BRAUN - grade 6/7 teacheR

Mr. Braun will be teaching grades 6 and 7 this year. This is his first year at ACS. Mr. Braun grew up in central BC and received his Bachelor of Education from Simon Fraser University in 2014. Since then he has taught in Mexico, Chilliwack, the Northwest Territories, and most recently teaching on call between Abbotsford and Boston Bar. He recently met and married his wife Amy. Mr. Braun enjoys building and creating things in his free time and has recently taken up leather working. He also enjoys being outside all year and is very at home in the snow or on the water or just being active with friends. Mr. Braun and his wife recently completed walking the 750km Camino De Santiago in Spain.


MRS. Tammy FRAYN - Educational Assistant

I have been married to Jason Frayn for 19 years and mother of 4 - 2 who have graduated from Agassiz Christian School and are now attending Unity Christian School for high school and 2 currently at ACS. After 7 years as Preschool Assistant, I am now working as an Educational Assistant in Kindergarten. My family and I attend the Salvation Army Church in Chilliwack.


Mrs. Jennifer Hernandez - EducationAL Assistant

Jennifer obtained her special education assistance certificate from Seabird Island College. She has been at ACS since 2009 and enjoys the loving community atmosphere. When not at school she can be found teaching kids club and volunteering at her home church.


Mrs. Geraldine Hertgers - Librarian

Geraldine has been volunteering as a librarian since 1989.  Now serving for more than a generation later, she delights in seeing her grandchildren come through the library.   When not at school, she manages the calf barn on the family farm.

MISS. AMY LAGEMAAT - EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANT

Amy graduated in June of 2016 from Columbia Bible College with an Educational Assistant Certificate. She did her practicum at Timothy Christian School in Rosedale and is now employed as an Educational  Assistant at Agassiz Christian School. Amy enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor sports.

MRS. JENNIFER NEUDORF - PRESCHOOL MANAGER

Mrs. Neudorf will be managing the preschool this year at ACS. She has lived in Chilliwack for most of her life. She completed her ECE in 2004, and has worked in the childcare field on and off since 2000. She is married and has 3 children, Emily 16yrs, Joshua 12yrs, and Jairus 6yrs. She enjoys reading, expolring nature, and spending time with friends and family.

MRS. MELANIE VICTOR - KINDERGARTEN/GRADE 1 TEACHER

In 2002, Mrs. Victor began teaching at Agassiz Christian School.  She seeks to engage her students in active playful learning.  She is passionate about helping students discover reflections of our Creator in the beautiful diversity of people and the rest of creation.   Mrs. Victor likes to spend time hiking, reading, singing and drumming with her husband, Andrew, and their four children.  Together with her husband and parents-in-law, she helps to pastor the Chilliwack Native Pentecostal Church.
